What Does Saudi Arabia Have To Do With Terrorist Ideology?

To understand the link between The kingdom of Saudi Arabia and terrorism one must go back to its inception and the beginning of Islam.

The kingdom of Saudi Arabia was founded 1932 by ibn saud with the help of religions leader Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab who was the founder/reviver of Wahabism. Prior to ibn sauds takeover the land was ruled by the Ottomans who were Sufi's a branch within Sunni Islam.

The ideology of Wahhabism has had many different names throughout history including Wahhabi, Salafi, Ghair muqallid and khawarji just to mention a few.
This ultra conservative ideology stems back right to the beginning of Islam. The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) prophesied about them in countless Hadith (sayings/quotes) for example:

" the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was brought some goods and he divided it, giving something to those on his right and to those on his left, but giving nothing to those who were behind him. One of those behind him, a man of dark complexion whose hair was completely shaved off and who was wearing two white garments said, "You have not divided justly, Muhammad." Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) became angry and said, "I swear by Allah that after my death you will not find a man more just than I am." He added, "At the end of
time people looking like this man will come forth, reciting the Quran (Islams holy book), but it will not pass their throats (they will not practice it).
They will leave from Islam as an arrow passes through the game at which is it shot, and their distinguishing mark will be shaving (completely shaving the moustache and head whilst leaving the beard to grow)
They will continue to come forth till the last of them comes forth with the Antichrist. When you meet them they will be the worst of men and beasts."
(narrated bu an-nasai)

There are numerous examples of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warning Muslims and human kind of these people. So what is there ideology and what differs them from main stream Sunni/Sufi Islam?
well there is no one answer as many of there beliefs differ for example:

1) prohibiting music of any sort
2)prohibition of celebrating birthdays including the birthdays of prophets
3) probation to deduce meaning or provide commentary on the Quraan and Hadith
4) prohibition to reconcile/make judgement as they believe Allah is the only judge
5)Prohibition of dance during gatherings of Zikr (remembrance of god)
6)making takfir, meaning anyone who does not follow there ideology can be called a non Muslim

And there are many more. Throughout the history of Islam mainstream Muslims have been at war with this ideology the forth caliph of Islam Hazrat Ali for example went to war with these people (khawarji) killing almost 16,000 of them and this ideology is the one that has been adopted by the Saudis.

Due to there power and oil wealth they have funded Islamic schools all around the world in an attempt to spread there ideology resulting in a spread of there power. Many a times Saudi Arabia have cased anger among Sufi and Shia Muslims for not respecting there beliefs for example the destruction of the jannatul baqi graveyard in which respected companions and family members of the prophet were.

Most if not all radical Islamist group's or Islamic terror group's uphold the ideology of 'Wahhabism' weather it be ISIS, Al-Qaeda, AL shabab or even Anjum Chowdery all of these follow the Wahhabi school of thought. It is a proven fact that Sufi Islam and Shia Islam have been at the fore front of there condemnation.

So the question remains, why does the US attack Iran instead of acknowledging that Saudi Arabia supports the Wahhabi clerics who are the originators, proponents, and to a large extent, the financial backers of the ideology that ISIS follows?

Just like David Cameron the then British prime minster was asked in an interview, why do you support and not condemn Saudi Arabia even though Saudi Arabia has been proven of carrying out human rights abuses?
He answered reluctantly "they provide information to us keeping us safe."

The US basically follows the same principle, be to my benefit and carry on what your doing or hear no evil, see no evil and just do what i say.
Iran on the other hand is unwilling to support or co-operate with the the US and its foreign policy after the ouster of  Shah reza phalivi.
Also america want to have a heavy influence over Saudi Arabia so that it can control global oil prices, set production targets etc.

It is a shame really how a blind eye is turned just to fulfil there own objectives, Iran meanwhile becomes the scapegoat for terrorism and is accused of exactly what Saudi Arabia is doing.
There is no need to provide evidence here that Saudi Arabia has and still do fund terrorism and are human right abusers (i mean why wouldn't you let women drive?) As evidence is available on the internet.

You can call it hypocritical or ironic.. it simply is the truth.

Fakhri Pasha A Forgotten Hero Of The Ottoman Empire

Fakhri pasha (also known as Fahreddin Pasha, fakhruddin and Omer Fahrettin Turkkan) the lion of the desert, the defender of Madina is a personality that not many are familiar with. He was an Ottoman general who was given the command of the Hejaz expeditionary force in WWI. At this time the Ottomans who were in control of Arabia and particularly Hijaz (present-day Saudi Arabia) were faced with an uprising, a revolt by the Arabs with the help of the British most notably TE Lawrence or the Lawrence of Arabia. Fakhri Pasha was ordered to go and defend Madina the city in which the prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) is buried. Due to the Arabs betraying the Ottoman caliphate and siding with the British Fakhri Pasha was given the task of defending the city as well as protecting the Hejaz railway line which was the most notable supply route to Madina and its entire means of logistics. Nearly 450 attacks by the Arab forces would be seen within a period of one year but the brav...

Why does Qatar seem to be in crisis?

We have been seeing in the news for some time now every now and again the mentioning of Qatar and the blockade that has been placed in it by other middle eastern countries. it took many of us by surprise why all of a sudden these country's would implement such a move. In one of my previous blogs Iran vs Saudi the power struggle  i stated how middle eastern country's were forced to choose a side between Iran and Saudi this situation is basically a symptom of that specific problem. Qatar is one the richest country's in the world. the biggest producer and exporter of LNG its boasts of massive oil and gas reserves. the south pars/north dome field located in the Persian gulf is by far the biggest gas field in the world it is jointly owned by both Iran and Qatar this is where the complexity of the situation starts. if Qatar sides with Saudi it fears its stake in the gas field will be overtaken by Iran therefore seeing its wealth at danger it has no other option. One extreme...

A tribute to Muhammad Ali

As a child growing up in the united kingdom in the 90's, a child of economic immigrants there were many struggles children like me had to face racism, discrimination and due to these factors  children like me found it hard to adapt to the white British culture. many of you may ask what has your childhood got to do with the boxer named Muhammad Ali my answer would be  : everything. Growing up the internet was in its infancy, social media non existent the VCR was being phased out by the DVD and smartphones unimaginable. Every weekend we would go to the library to read books and rent out dvd's. it was then when i picked up the DVD 'when we were kings' and on the front i saw  for the first time muhammad ali. Boxing was the sport of the 90's the golden era where Mike Tyson, lennox Lewis and the British muslim boxing legend prince naseem hamad to mention a few would entertain crowds and families at home. but as we would watch boxing we would on ...
